no, Tyler . . . you were not intended to be my answer. :) I've been mulling this particular adjective, trying to come up with a noun that really captures the combination of stupidity, futility, foolishness and general inexcusability that I'm looking for . . . I think I'll submit:
SUPERMARKET TABLOIDS, in general such as THE WEEKLY WORLD NEWS, in specific http://www.wwnmedia.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weekly_World_News
Sara, I wondered if you meant Tyler, too. ;-) Hmm... supermarket tabloids, eh? Didn't you know that they are the secret source of information for the MIB? ;-)
Valorosa, Yeah...
Erin, I laughed out loud at the whole of your answer. Did you duck and run fast enough?
Jon, Gargamel. I haven't heard that name since me little sister was, well, little.
This is a tough one. All the answers have merit. But... Jut for the laugh scale that I got out of it, I am going to go with Erin's choice - James Dobson (ducking and running, too)
Wow, my first win in awhile. I'm honored. The duck and run was due to the fact that not all present company feels he is asinine. But I thought you would appreciate that one, Katherine.
