Hi all, I've been away for a few weeks. It's good to plug back in ...

Faithful = constant = LAUNDRY!

Yeah I know it's a stretch but let me tell you, it's always there, can always be counted on, it is the pile that never ends!

'Old Faithful' at Yellowstone.

And Rob, if I remember correctly, on the word 'ubiquitous' you told me it was unfair to say 'God'...

Horton

as in Horton Hatches the Egg by Dr. Seuss.

"An elephant's faithful
one hundred per cent!"

I love that book!

Erin, indeed I did; in that case, it was because only God can actually be ubiquitous--everything else we call "ubiquitous" is really just frequent. In this case, obviously, God is more faithful than we are or than any earthly thing can be, but there are plenty of other examples of faithfulness to be found. And since there are other nouns out there which also fit the adjective and do so in more creative, even if somewhat lesser, ways--and thus fit the spirit of the game better--I figured someone else would probably win the round. (If it were me, at this point, I'd grin and give it to Susan.)

Since I didn't see it as a slam-dunk answer, I didn't think it unfair to post it--and the way the last couple weeks have gone, it isn't an "oh, this is the right answer" answer, it's honestly what I'm hanging on to right now. In any case, if you want to disqualify me for this round anyway, feel free--I have no objection. :)

Rob - So in other words, you don't practice what you preach? ;-)

(I hope you know I'm teasing you...)

Rob Harrison said...

:) Who says I was preaching? :)

Happy said...

Rob - "preach the gospel at all times; when necessary use words."

so one COULD argue you were preaching... ;) (sorry (ish), i just felt snarky for a second there...)

Mike - Launcelot was faithful - just not to the round table and just to the wrong things... :)

"can't i have just a little bit of peril?" "NO!" lol

Well listen to all this tit for tat going on! We are getting competitive aren't we?

Sue--I thought about posting dogs . . . honestly what occurred to me is that my cat would be a good answer for the anti-faithful . . . (and no, I don't mean unfaithful)

Oh, yes. Cats are satan spawn :)

Jon, I think that's "hostile drivers with a "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven" bumper sticker".... ;)

Tyler Dawn ~ That totally reminded me of this joke

Kimberly Preske said...

Ok, that looks like everybody.

Rob,
I will keep you in my prayers and yes God is 100% faithful while we are, well....

I love laundry, as an answer not the mountain waiting for me to wash,
dogs, yes the puppy I am watching for 6 weeks is like velcro quite opposite my cat who is really ticked off.
So many other great ones, but too have to go with Susan for Horton. Great classic :)

Yeah! Good old Horton.

I will be back soon with an adjective but I can tell you it will start with a 'D'. Everytime I scroll down the page I see the Labels A,B,C,E ....
