please be praying for my *baby* brother Adam (he is 31). He is on the fire lines in Northern California. He is a retired firefighter, but goes back to duty whenever a crisis hits. For the past few years, the governor's office has called on him to coordinate resources for the major fires they have been having, but this year, resources got shored up early and he requested a job on the lines, since he felt there were others who could do resources just as well but since he was actually a firefighter he could be of more use on the front lines.
Katherine (I was just laughing at your comment as I read yours laughing about mine. PS: while I'm here, I was just looking at my stat meter and someone had surfed in Googling "Katherine Gunn is boring" Ha. Not this one ;)

(I got to spend some time with my 6 week old nephew today, so that's what came to mind.)
Butterflies ... more specifically, butterfly wings.
My children would insist on catching them and inevitably rub off some of their wing scales, thus rendering them handicapped to flying.
