Jon, I hear you loud and clear and run away we would have, but you cannot 'run away' from a psychiatrist! You have to go before a review board and get a lawyer and what a hassle! She would not let us go ... so I hung on and with the truck loads of wisdom from above we were able to expose her to all the necessary people who watch for abuse in mental health care. I still don't know the details of what went down but we received a call yesterday. We have been released from this horrible struggle. My son saw a new doctor today ...
Thank you so much for your prayers. You guys are awesome ... I will keep you posted on our travels ...
that is good to hear, V. or may i call you Wftfs just for old times sake? i had no idea that leaving a psychiatrist could be so difficult... thank god its not that way with any of zaavan's doctors that we've left.
good to see that with a huge prayer BOOM! things worked out so swiftly. not always how it works, but it is wonderful when it does... you'll have to let us know in a few months how things go with the new doc.
which reminds me, rob. how are things with you? has light dawned for you yet or are you still in the throws of the night? still praying for you.
The situation I've been dealing with is still pretty rough; but God's getting me through it. Unfortunately, the person who set everything off is refusing to change what they're doing; there's a lot of us hurting as a consequence, but we'll be well in the end--I'm afraid that person will wind up ruining their life. Thanks for asking--I really appreciate your concern and your prayers.
V - SOOOOO excited for your good news! Cheering along with everyone else. :)
I have to ask, tho - what's Wftfs???
Rob - hang in there, my friend. The best thing about a shaken apple tree is all the rotten fruit falls off, and the good fruit gets more of the nourishment it needs... I can't help but think that maybe God's about something like that in this situation... for what it's worth. praying for you. that's probably worth a little more than early Saturday over-caffeinated philosophy. ;)
