Oscar the Grouch.

I think if we're going to do "A2A And Then Some", on our turn we should always say what we're doing so anyone can join in, even people who may not have played A2A with us before. So in this case, you could say "I'm looking for nouns that go with this adjective" or something like that. Does that seem ok?

Oscar Madison from "The Odd Couple"....hmm..I think I could have picked any of his movie characters. :)

That's a good idea, Erin

Momma from "Momma's Family" on the Carol Burnett show.

Hope you don't mind if I join the game. I'm Delirious' sister. :0)

Welcome, Nene. Yes, just jump in!

I want to make sure you have posting privileges so you can play when it's your turn. Either Delirious can send an invite to your e-mail address, or you can e-mail me at (erinword at gmail dot com) and I'll see to it that you get an invite.

Just an observation, and by no means a criticism, but since Rahab’s Kitchen started we seem to have less conversation/prayer requests here and less visitors. So I was wondering if perhaps we could have more general prayer requests here, like people suffering genuine hardship in the fiancial crisis etc. or maybe something less spiritual. Just a general chat about life, the way you do when you sit around with friends and play games in real time. Anyway just a thought.

I find when COMPUTERS get old and slow they are cantankerous!

Welcome nene!!!

That's cool Susan ...

Although I think all things fall under the spiritual realm.

Are you sort of talking advice or we could share news ... funny or serious from our worlds?

My word

Someone with a serious hangover :-)

Of course we still want to keep up the chatter! Prayer requests, life's little tidbits, words of blessing and comfort..it's all good.

And welcome Nene! I'm glad you have joined us.

Funny stories would be good, Val.

Now all my kids have left home I miss all the funny things they use to say.

LoL

ok here's one

My son has always been a lover of animals.

When he was 5 years old he came into the house from playing outside. I had been out shopping and had bought a huge bag of Monarch flour. It was sitting on the floor in the hallway propped up against the wall.

In those days Monarch flour was packaged with a blue checkered background with the head of a majestic lion on the front of the bag.

My little son stopped and studied the bag for a few minutes. Then he ran into the kitchen wiggling with excitement. He could barely get his words out.

When he could finally breathe he shouted,

"Are are we getting a lion!!!!"

Hey Sue - I don't mean to be "cantankerous" but are we going to get a decision over here soon?

Haha sorry. I was just waiting to see if anyone else was going to leave an answer.

I hereby bestow this award on Erin for her Oscar the Grouch. Who can go past Oscar?
