Word Verification

This is really Nene's idea, but I think it's fun. For this round, I'm going to give you a word verification instead of a real word. This is an actual word verification that I have used. Please give me a definition for it, AND use it in a sentence. :)

THERP

THERP- an acronym actually, standing for Time Honored Erroneus Repeat Performace.
as in:
"The annual THERP of Mars coming close enough to the Earth to look as big as the moon is currently making the rounds again."

also as a verb:
I therped my anniversary again this year. Totally slipped my mind.

Answer to eutychus - no family in the military, I'm living in Ireland right now and use Skype to call my family and friends. :0)

I'll be back with my word definition later, I've got to think on this a bit more.

THERP is the new word for really short therapy sessions with your shrink. These short sessions have come about as a new way to cut medical costs. Instead of the normal hour you get 15 minutes. Instead of going into long explanations of what is bothering you, you pick a disorder (OCD, Scizophrenia (sp?), paranoia, etc), and are given meds for that for awhile. Doctors have determined that trial and error works about as good as sitting and listening to patient's whining about their lives for an hour.

Sentence: I don't think my Therp sessions are helping my paranoia very much.

therp: a thoppy drink as defined in LITHP dictionary.

Snagglepuss therped his kool-aid after yet another failed attempt to eat Tweetie Bird.

LOL Valorosa!

THERP -- police slang for a third time offender

The therp was inanely oblivious to the fact that robbing a Tae Kwon Do studio during a tournament was a very bad idea.

lol- third offender..
which would lend itself to secerp (second offender) and of course the multerp for more than three. (But that begins to sound more like a disease)
I work with law enforcment so these kind of hit close to home. Besides, Tyler is a fellow Austinite and Scout leader so...
btw-I'm sorry to hear about your family's recent travails (on your blog)but you seem to have handled it admirably. No wonder you came up with the definition you did..:-)

Continuing with Valorosa's entry from the LITHP dictionary:
Snagglepuss therped his kool-aid after yet another failed attempt to eat Tweetie Bird.

"Therp, therp," said Tweety.

(hmmm- wouldn't that be Sylvester? Snagglepuss was a lion or something wasn't he? :-) )

Okay, I think I'm going to declare a winner on this. I laughed at them all, and am always amazed at the creativity.

This time I think I have to go with Nene. Her "therp sessions" probably would do more good than actual ones, and they would be a fraction of the cost! ;)

LOL that's right E !!
Got my cats mixed up...
buuut it is possible that being in the same studio and all and being a cat he may have exited stage right once in a while and headed for Tweetie's cage ;-)
